Total time for Web and Apps usage. Account updates and iOS support

Dear users and customers,

Recently we have finished updating KidLogger.net and now new features are available for all members. In brief, "Log View" now contains the total time the user spends while using a certain application or web site. Web Analytics now contains the Total time spent on each web site. Account features a bit changed and more.
This allows to measure productivity of for the Kid. Account features a bit changed and more.

With these features it is easy to find out the total time during which your Kid is using the web or office apps.

What's new:

  1. "Log View" section is updated with "total time" column
  2. "Applications" Analytics is updated with a "total time" column for each application and the total time for all applications. Please note that this list does not include "Web Browse" applications time.
  3. "Web" Analytics is updated with "total time" for each web site.

All of these are working only for Windows computes
(with KidLogger Agent 5.6.17). For Mac OS X - planned for near future. For Mobile phones - planned for a distant future :). see below.

  4. Now voice files uploaded from mobile phone as 3gp are converted to mp3 format automatically. If you noted 3gp files in your dashboard it means that this 3gp file is uploaded partially and it is not converted as yet (or not converted for some other reason).
  5. KidLogger.net core engine updates.
  6. Accounts features updates:
    - Professional account now keeps history for 60 days (maximum 5 devices). The limitation for a maximum number of devices is not applied for existing members. If you need to monitor more than 5 computers/phones then look at http://data.staffcounter.net. Now it runs as beta, but still may help you.

Updates, 24 Oct:

Item 3) updated with a platforms list

Item 4). is turned off for a while - too much media files to convert - this impacts server performance (too many SQL errors). We are looking for a way to optimize this.

Sorry for too many SQL errors for the last 5 days - some of the experimental features got out of control.

Soft Keyabord PRO ends. A new type of typed keystrokes capturer is on the way.

The idea of making а full duplicated keyboard for Android (that supports phones and tablets, from OS 2.3 up to 4.0 and soon 5.0) look horrible now :).  And now we are working on finding a better way to capture typed keystrokes under Android without replacing current input method at all. This approach is universal, since it supports hardware keyboards (sliders) and at the same time does not replace the existing virtual keyboard. Also new approach may help to collect data from existing apps (like WhatsApp, Skype, YuoTube, Email clients) allowing you to know better the scope of interests of your Kid. Details will be announced within a month.

KidLogger Agent for iOS is waiting for approval for the AppStore

KidLogger Agent app for iOS (5 and 6) is now under testing. The initial release is prepared for AppStore only and it will include only phone coordinates monitoring. Looks like this is the only information we could get from iOS in the background. Release for unlocked iOS (jailbreak) may appear in the future - but this requires a bit sophisticated coding since iOS features we need for KidLogger Agent are mostly undocumented.

Productivity Reports

A New version of KidLogger Agent for Windows (5.6.17) now measures how much time the user spends on each Application and Web site, and it also measures how much time the user is typing the text (for each application).

This allows to understand the productivity of your child. Please upgrade KidLogger for Windows.
